The AwareHouse was an artists´ space for seriously devoted creative artists with like minds. Located at 3800 South Congress in Austin, Texas. It was a creative complex housing numerous artist studios, an event space for performances or any large gathering, a healing arts studios, and a large Yoga studio.

Located in the Baja-Soco arts district in South Austin, where the motto is "Keep Austin Weird", the AwareHouse was originally leased in the year 2000 for making the props for the indie film, The Great Bamboosical. It had such soul and spirit! Turns out, however, that this area is part of a dormant volcano. After four years of renovating this 40,000 sq ft old funky NYC style warehouse into a thriving multi-use arts center, I'm left in need of a long vacation.

We had 19 diversified artists in the 21 art studios, editing suites, Miso Hungry (a hip vegan macro restaurant), a Yoga loft, healing arts center, Art Gallery, Event Center, recording studio and a new theatre and soundstage! Austin is rich in kooky characters and the AwareHouse had its share of really weird ones!
